When you work with contractors and people outside the company, how many hours went into which project tends to end up in a separate spreadsheet. Timesheets do that counting in the same place as the boards.
Entering a week
Projects and work types (development, meetings, fixes) are the rows, and you type hours into the squares from Monday to Sunday. The weekly total per row and the daily totals appear as you type. The previous week can be duplicated, so anyone with the same projects each week only edits the numbers.
Submitting and approving
- DraftStill being entered. It can be changed as many times as you like.
- SubmittedThe person has finished the week and sent it. From here the approver looks at it.
- ApprovedChecked and accepted. Billing totals start from here.
- Sent backReturned when something needs fixing. The person edits it and submits again.
Anyone with approval rights can also choose a member and enter hours on their behalf, which covers the people who forget.
Contracts and statements
For each combination of a member and a project, register an hourly, fixed, or monthly contract. Approved hours against the contract produce that month's statement directly.
